The Rangers of Misoi Kussie are dedicated stewards of the natural environment. They play a critical role in protecting forests, wildlife, and visitors from the dangers of wildfire, invasive species, and occasionally other visitors. The rangers work hard to ensure healthy forests and ecosystems by managing resources and reducing the impact of human activities. They also educate the public about conservation and the importance of preserving such a precious resource. In addition, forest rangers often act in a volunteer capacity, putting in countless hours of their own time to prevent and respond to natural disasters, most notably wild fires. The Kussie rangers dedicate their lives to preserving our forests and ecosystems and protecting our communities. We owe them our thanks and respect.
For a relaxing summer outing try Sweet Birch Crick, minor elevation change and abundant wildlife. If you like waterfalls try Buckman Holler, there are several small falls along the route. If you want to get away from people, venture into Sutton Holler - the least busy of the five. A slight detour off of Šekaakwa will take you to an old settler's cabin from the 1800's (follow the signs). And lastly, the most popular trail by far; Totter Top Trail. The views say it all. Not to be missed.
